"Sally will discuss the notion of the Hidden, Stealth, and Invisible Cyborg. Cyborg modification that is unseen by others by being cloaked or embedded can create the invisible cyborg in humans. This talk describes the state of Cyborgs today--and discuss a framework and methodology for determining how different types of cyborg augmentations have different degrees of visibility within groups. The discussion will also include the corresponding degree to which different types of augmentations are accepted in society--and why. Applin’s talk invites discussion on what the future might hold for humans, machines, and the things that are in-between."
